SC Chemical's 6440 is an oil based rust preventative that leaves a non-staining thin film of rust protection on the metal surfaces. The process uses a high flash, low viscosity petroleum oil that provides a safe fluid that is easily applied. This film can easily be removed using a mild aklaline cleaner like our 5400.
